Audition

Student Artwork

The Princeton Area Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Thomas George Artists Fund Award. The award supports artists engaged in drawing and painting for up to six months directly following his or her graduation from college. Seniors from the College of New Jersey, Rider University, or Mercer County Community College may apply. The application deadline has been extended to Friday, February 24. Plan Your Picnic

The Mercer County Park Commission will begin accepting reservations for the five county-owned picnic areas on Wednesday, February 22, at noon for the 2017 season. These include the West and East Picnic Areas in Mercer County Park, Rosedale Picnic Area in Mercer Meadows, Princeton Country Club Picnic Area in West Windsor, and Valley Road Picnic Area in Hopewell Township. Meals on Wheels

Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens in the Highland Park area for the Kosher Meals on Wheels Program. The program delivers meals Monday through Friday mornings. A commitment of at least two days per month for regular volunteers is required. Hospice Volunteer Training

Holy Redeemer Hospice is sponsoring a series of volunteer training sessions. The full program consists of eight 2.5-hour training sessions that will be held in two locations. The day program will be held Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., beginning February 6 and continuing until March 27. The sessions will be held at Holy Redeemer Hospice, 171 Jersey Street, Trenton. The evening program will be held Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m., beginning February 2 and continuing until March 23. Call for Poetry

Students in grades K through 12 are invited to submit works to the Sarah Mook Poetry Contest. Postmark deadline for entries is Friday, March 31. Cash awards are $100 first prize, $50 second prize, $25 third prize in each of four categories: kindergarten through second, third through fifth, sixth through eighth, and ninth through twelfth.
