Literacy New Jersey seeks volunteer tutors to help adult learners improve basic literacy skills. Tutors are required to complete a 15-hour training course to learn the fundamentals of reading and writing instruction. Five-week courses run Wednesdays, September 21 through October 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or Thursdays, September 29 through October 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.
