Museum Guides Wanted

The Princeton University Art Museum seeks volunteers to become Museum Ambassadors. Ambassadors serve as the primary liaisons with visitors, helping them find their way around the museum and help to promote museum membership. Ambassadors must attend training sessions, which will take place on Thursday evenings or Saturdays during September and October. For information visit artmuseum.princeton.edu.

Children’s Art & Theater

Princeton Youth Ballet is holding auditions for its 2016-’17 season Saturday, September 17, at Princeton Dance and Theater Studio, 116 Rockingham Row, Princeton. Call times are as follows:

1 to 2:30 p.m. intermediate and advanced pointe dancers and boys aged 14 and up; 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. beginner and intermediate pointe dancers and boys 10 and older; 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. beginner and intermediate boys and girls aged 7 to 9. For information visit www.princetonyouthballet.org.

The New School for Music Study in Kingston is enrolling kindergarten to second grade students who wish to learn piano. The Piano Detectives Club will meet on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for the 2016-’17 school year. The Time to Begin Class will meet Wednesdays from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Students in the programs will participate in a fall parents class, NSMS piano progressions, and a spring recital. Art

The Arts Council of Princeton is accepting submissions for its members exhibition, held September 10 through October 1. All artists who are current members of the council are eligible to submit work. Submission deadline is Wednesday, September 7. Visit www.artscouncilofprinceton.org.

Choirs

The New Hope – Solebury Community Choir is recruiting singers of all voice parts. There is no audition to join. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at Carversville Christian Church, 3736 Aquetong Road, Carversville. For information call 650-219-2748.

Dance

The Outlet Dance Project’s annual festival is accepting submissions from women-identifying artists for site-specific work, dance films, and original choreography created for the stage. Deadline is Tuesday, September 6. For information visit www.theoutletdanceproject.com.

Gardeners

Master Gardener classes will be offered at the Middlesex County EARTH Center in Davidson Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Avenue, South Brunswick. The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County is offering daytime and evening sessions for this program. Orientation (attendance is optional) will be on Thursday, September 8, at 6:30 p.m. for the evening class and Friday, September 9, at 9:30 a.m. for the morning class.
