HomeFront, a Mercer County organization that battles family homelessness, is sponsoring a week of hope from Saturdays, May 9 to 16, to heighten the awareness of the underprivileged and raise funds. Mercer County and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development is helping create jobs for disadvantaged youth with the new job program “Summer HEAT (Help Employ Area Teens).” They are lining up local businesses to offer internships or paying jobs to young adults aged 17 to 25 who have experienced barriers to employment.
