Celebrate the Bard
Princeton Public Library and McCarter Theater Center are celebrating William Shakespeare’s birthday with a family-friendly event called “Bard’s Birthday Bash” on Sunday, April 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. Themed crafts, acting games, and birthday cake will introduce the family to the works of Shakespeare.
Performers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to sign up for the Sonnet and Soliloquy Slam to share their favorite passages of Shakespeare in a fun and casual environment. Shakespeare-themed or inspired songs are also welcome. Groups of two or more, 14 years and older, may apply to perform a 2 to 5 minute scene from one of Shakespeare’s plays as part of Center Stage Scenes. Scenes should be staged and memorized. Costumes and props are optional.

Berdanhand Productions has open auditions for adults of all ages for “Fade Out at Clo-Achers,” a spoof about life in an adult community. Art for Kids
Trenton City Museum offers “Art in the Park,” after school art classes for children ages 6 to 10. The eight-week session will be held on Wednesdays, 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., beginning Wednesday, April 10.
