McCarter Theater invites boys and girls ages 5 to 13 to sign up on Friday, September 9, from 3 to 6 p.m., to audition for its annual production of “A Christmas Carol.” Children will be screened, measured, and given appointments for the actual auditions on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 13 and 14. Princeton HealthCare System offers after-school social skills instruction for children and adolescents who face difficulty interacting and socializing with their peers. BLAST (Behavior, Learning, and Social Training) includes classes in peer interaction skills, conflict resolution, and stress management strategies for ages 3 to 17. Howell Farm is accepting applications for parent/child enrollment in its Saturday Farmhands program beginning Saturday, September 10 or October 29. For children 6 to 12 with one parent to volunteer to work at the farm.
