Onsen for All has assembled an extremely talented and well-trained staff with diverse specialties in rehabilitative massage. We strongly believe not just in the relaxation benefits of massage, but the health benefits as well.
In this month’s newsletter we’re featuring the newest addition to our Rehabilitative Menu, Oncology Massage. Practitioner Hollie Rudolph was inspired to study this technique after observing her aunt battle cancer when she was a child. Hollie studied the technique at UMDNJ, which offered the first Oncology Massage Certification in the country.
She says that the treatment can be not only beneficial for stress relief but also for other common side effects of cancer and treatment such as peripheral neuropathy, constipation, and lymphedema. She has seen how the power of healing touch can make a tremendous difference in the lives of those affected by cancer and looks forward to sharing this specialized treatment with the community at Onsen.
Another highlight of Onsen’s rehabilitative services is the unique Maya abdominal therapy — an external non-invasive massage that focuses on the abdomen, pelvis, and low back to restore digestive and reproductive health. Onsen staff therapist Julie Malinowski has specialized in this technique to help women with fertility and reproductive health. The techniques work to restore the body to its natural balance by correcting the position of organs that have shifted and restrict the flow of blood, lymph, nerve, and chi energy.
Now through August 31: Take $15 off 60- or 90-minute Rehabilitative Massage (except NMT). Regular Price: 60-minutes ($160) / 90-minutes ($195).
