Holyoke, Class of 1963, and holds a law degree from Rutgers. Gary

Burns, holds a degree from Thomas Edison State College and graduated

Several attorneys from the Roseland office of Friedman Seigelbaum
LLP (recently acquired by Boston-based law firm Goodwin, Proctor &

Kathryn Flicker, the deputy first assistant prosecutor, has been
appointed
to head the state Division of Criminal Justice. Known for successfully
prosecuting Jesse Timmendequas (who received a death sentence for
the rape and murder of Megan Kanka), she will be the first woman in
this state post.
Flicker went to Indiana University and Rutgers School of Law and spent
19 years in the county prosecutor’s office and 10 years as a state
deputy attorney general. In her new post she will manage 870 people
and supervise the offices of 21 county prosecutors. Paul Zoubek, who
has been both criminal justice director and first assistant attorney
general, will continue to serve in the latter post.
