Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County has named Linda Gyimoty executive director, succeeding Jane Latini, who retired in January. The agency provides services allowing independent living for low-income seniors and adults with disabilities in and near Mercer County.
“With Linda at the helm, we believe Interfaith Caregivers is well positioned to address the challenges of the coming years and, most importantly, to meet the needs of our most vulnerable community members,” said board chair Kathy Anne Lo Bue.
“Studies show that aging-in-place improves the quality of life for our elderly by promoting independence, dignity and wellness.” Gyimoty said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to help make that possible for the hundreds of homebound seniors and disabled individuals we serve each year.”
Gyimoty is a 30-year veteran of nonprofit groups serving vulnerable people. She was most recently executive director of United Way of Ocean County, where she helped to coordinate Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.
