Princeton Consultants, an IT consulting firm, has hired Irv Lustig as optimization principal.

Lustig will lead the firm’s optimization practice, which focuses on applying analytics to business decision-making. Lustig was an assistant professor of civil engineering and operations research at Princeton University before leaving to join a software startup that eventually became part of IBM in 2008. Lustig, who has a Ph.D. from Stanford, led research in business optimization for IBM.

Mark S. Nurse has joined Glenmede Trust’s Princeton office as a senior portfolio manager.

Prior to joining Glenmede, Nurse served as director of investments at PNC Wealth Management, where he was responsible for the training, mentoring, and development of 15 team members.

Nurse earned his B.S. in business management from St. Francis College and an MBA in finance from Fordham. He began his career with the Bank of New York. Prior to his time as a senior vice president with PNC Wealth Management, Nurse was a senior investment advisor for PNC, and senior portfolio manager with JP Morgan Bank.


James A. Vinson, 69, on December 12. A CPA at Arthur Andersen before earning an MBA degree at Wharton and then helping to develop a real estate investment platform at Merrill Lynch, he retired in 1995 to focus on his own real estate investments.

Joseph G. Thomann, 63, on December 24. Employed with GM’s Fisher Division in Ewing prior to his retirement in 2006, he was a Civil War enthusiast and a founding member of the Camp Olden Civil War Round Table.

Arline J. Engster, 56, on December 26. A Plainsboro resident, Engster had worked as a nurse for more than 25 years at the Princeton Medical Center.
