Mercer Bucks Cardiology began in October, 1997, when physicians from Mercer Cardiology joined together with physicians from Yardley Cardiology to form a comprehensive cardiology practice. Today we have 28 cardiologists and nine cardiology-advanced trained nurse practitioners providing the highest quality of care in Mercer and Bucks counties.
The practice offers every aspect of state-of-the-art cardiovascular medicine and cardiac diagnostic testing. We have offices in Lawrenceville and Robbinsville, New Jersey, and across the river in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
Mercer Bucks Cardiology services patients at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton, Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell, Saint Francis Medical Center in Trenton and Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Our comprehensive practice has five interventional cardiologists performing the highest level of cardiac procedures. Mercer Bucks Cardiology was the first practice in this region to place a stent in a thoracic aortic aneurysm, reducing the need for open-heart surgery.
Our practice offers advanced coronary intervention including some of the most recent advances in cardiac treatment, bioabsorbable coronary stent insertion and the WATCHMAN procedure. The WATCHMAN procedure reduces the need for certain patients to have to take anticoagulant medications. TAVR (Trans aortic valve replacement) can treat aortic stenosis without cardiac open heart surgery.
Mercer Bucks Cardiology has an advanced heart failure program, which is one of the first community cardiology programs in the nation to treat LVAD patients (Left Ventricular Assist Device). Dr. Kulpreet Barn, director of this program, is MBC’s heart failure specialist.
The practice also offers a Women’s Heart Health Program dedicated to early detection and prevention of cardiovascular disease in women. The program provides free screening to evaluate risk factors in women.
Mercer Bucks Cardiology is affiliated with the Arrhythmia Institute for treating complex heart rhythm conditions. For more information about the Arrhythmia Institute, you can reach them directly at 215-741-5600.
We believe education, prevention, and early detection is the path to a long, healthy life.
