Most people really don’t want to continue working into their 70s, 80s, or even 90s. But the reality is two in three of those people surveyed are anxious about having enough money saved in order to actually retire. Workers are 15 times more likely to save for retirement if their workplace offers a plan. But because 54 percent of workers in New Jersey don’t have access to an employer provided savings plan, many are having a hard time saving for the future. This means many will be forced to work well beyond ideal retirement age. And without a solution, many will face poverty.
Supported by AARP, Secure Choice provides New Jersey workers access to savings tools, secure investments, and financial education. The program is self-sustaining. That means that no employer or taxpayer expenditures will be required. Help make retirement a reality by contacting your state legislators.
