Ibis Plaza has been leasing office space in Hamilton, New Jersey, since 1982. In recent years with the seismic changes as a result of the digital revolution the office market has been going through its own version of evolution. Those days of large office deals for 10+ year terms have quickly become a thing of the past, and when they do happen those deals are done in Class “A” buildings owned by Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). This has forced some local owners to re-think their strategies.

One of those is Christopher Jerjian of Ibis Plaza. He has transformed Ibis Plaza into more than just conventional office space. He has created new offerings to complement the needs of small and medium-size organizations.

In May he hired a new director of leasing, Ellen Dollard, to help launch his “Express Offices,” a turnkey “Ready to Move-in Now” office space that caters to the needs of small users who want flexible terms, such as month-to-month leases and the ability to expand or downsize when they need to.

Dollard has been leasing Express Offices for several months and said that “prospects just love what they see. The suites are well presented with nice finishes including wood bases and chair rails. Every suite has natural light all for one rent with no nickel and diming extra costs. It even includes free internet service.”

In September Ibis launched its new Venue Center, which provides businesses and individuals with the ability to rent meeting, training, and conference rooms at very competitive prices. The Venue Center will be fully operational once the website starts operating its “book and pay” system in mid-October.

Tenants at Ibis Plaza also get the benefit of deep discounts for renting these facilities, which are available by the hour, day, week, or month. It’s great for tenants who can save on renting larger space if they only need these rooms once in a while, and it’s conveniently on site. “It’s basically a complete package,” said Dollard. “We now offer conventional office space, Express Offices, and space for rent by the hour or day all in one location.”

The Ibis Venue Center is open to the public. Imagine renting a small meeting room for four people for as little as $15/hour. This kind of space works for tutors, attorneys, and salespeople alike.
