Formerly known as the Cromwell Memorial Home, Hopewell Memorial Home and Cremation Services continue a 65-year-old tradition of offering quality services for the township of Hopewell.

A believer in the community, the owner, Todd Michael Cohan, purchased the property at a foreclosure auction in 2013 at the County Courthouse. His goal was to restore the property, which had been neglected for years, and to provide local, independent, and dignified after life services for his community. Cohan spent the next eight months renovating and refurbishing the property, creating a space that any family would be comfortable in when the time comes to provide a meaningful ceremony to honor the life and memory of a loved one.

“There are other funeral homes to choose from outside of the Borough. Our goal is to provide the most professional funeral services at a very reasonable cost. We hope families will take the time to research the many options available to them today, and not make rash decisions during a very difficult and challenging time,” Timothy F. Reeg, the funeral home’s manager and licensed director said.

Mr. Reeg, a third generation funeraldirector with more than 25 years of experience, welcomed the opportunity to manage the Hopewell Memorial Home and had been employed by the previous owners since the late 1990s. Through Cohan and Reeg, Hopewell Memorial Home offers a non-commercial, comfortable, and courteous home-like atmosphere to ensure families’ feel at ease. Our genial staff is committed to providing family-centered decisions and respectful, dignified, and professional care for the community of Hopewell and its surrounding areas.

From a simple, direct cremation to a traditional full-service funeral, Hopewell Memorial Home will advise you of the various options from which to choose. Honoring all faiths and traditions, the Hopewell Memorial Home is prepared to assist you in creating a meaningful service for your loved one. The funeral home provides a wide variety of specialized services, including themed and celebratory funerals, as well as burials at sea.

The upgraded facility contains an entirely new showroom for pre-arrangements, allowing family members the added convenience of viewing a selection of caskets, urns, and vaults while learning about the many options available, as well as the costs associated, free of any sales pressure.

There are scheduled quarterly seminars on estate and funeral planning for people local to the area. The seminars educate attendees on the many details about the intricacies of planning that can be confusing to many. Hopewell Memorial Home is also partnered with Choices, the NJ Funeral Trust Fund, ensuring prepaid monies are safe and secure. Families should be aware that their pre-paid monies are transferable to any funeral home they choose.

With three generations of experience caring for families and creating personalized services, Hopewell Memorial Home is designed with you and your family in mind. Providing a newly renovated facility, comfortable seating, perfect lighting, and a tasteful decor, you can be assured of a serene setting for visiting with family and friends.
