Frontier Air may have only been operating out of Trenton-Mercer Airport for two months, but the airline is expanding services for the second time.
The airline announced on January 7 that it will be adding five nonstop destinations beginning in April to its current destinations — Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, and New Orleans. Frontier will be adding service to Atlanta, Chicago-Midway, Columbus, Detroit, and Raleigh/Durham.
This is the second expansion of service announced by Frontier since November, when the airline began operations at the airport. A day before opening on November 16, Frontier announced the addition of New Orleans to its already-planned Florida routes.
“I’m thrilled that Frontier is continuing to expand its nonstop service to and from Trenton-Mercer Airport,” said Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes. “With 10 destinations to different parts of the country, Frontier offers people in and around Mercer County convenient and affordable travel opportunities that they’ve never had before.”
Frontier is offering special introductory fares for those who book flights through Wednesday, January 23, at FlyFrontier.com/Trenton. Prices for one-way flights are $29 for Columbus, Detroit, and Raleigh/Durham; $49 for Atlanta and Chicago-Midway; $69 for Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa; and $79 for Fort Myers and New Orleans.
Frontier is a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, an airline holding company that also owns Chautauqua Airlines, and Republic Airlines. Currently in its 19th year of operations, Frontier offers service to some 80 destinations in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.
