People with jobs use social networking sites. Progressive companies have embraced the benefits, realizing that social networking lends the all-important human face to a business, and offers myriad chances for low-cost marketing and information gathering.
But many companies still frown on the practice. Time spent on blogs and FaceBook does raise costs in productivity, consumes bandwidth, exposes companies to viruses and malware, and could inadvertently damage the company’s reputation should someone say the wrong thing.
On Wednesday, December 9, Lisa Fried-Grodin will present “Managing the Pitfalls of Blogs and Social Networking Sites in the Workplace” at noon at Fox Rothschild, 997 Lenox Drive in Lawrenceville. To register for this free event, E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
