Dr. Edward Magaziner specializes in interventional pain management, endoscopic spinal surgery, and orthopedic regenerative medicine (Stem Cell Grafts, PRP, Prolotherapy) for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. He has helped thousands of patients improve the quality of their life. His innovative approach and breakthrough treatments provide relief and restoration of function. Education and Experience: Dr. Magaziner received his undergraduate degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College and worked as a physical therapist for seven years. He received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois.
After his residency training at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in Maryland and New York Medical College as the chief resident, in rehabilitation medicine, he became an associate attending in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Magaziner was the medical director of the Industrial Health Center of New Jersey and Health South Pain Program of Central Jersey before moving into private practice in physical medicine and rehabilitation in 1992, which he continues as the medical director of the Center for Spine, Sports, Pain Management, and Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Magaziner has completed post-graduate training at Columbia University, the University of Wisconsin, the Institute of Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Pace University, and Long Island University. He has been featured on several radio and television programs and has contributed to several scientific publications. Dr. Magaziner has lectured across the country and he trains other physicians and fellows.
It is in the field of orthopedic regenerative medicine that Dr. Magaziner is recognized as a pioneer. He had the insight and determination to utilize the natural healing ability of the body and use it to reduce pain and improve overall function. Before most physicians even heard about this type of science, Dr. Magaziner was using Prolotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and Stem Cell Grafts in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. Now these procedures are being used in amateur and professional sports.
