Fred Abbate, on August 11. He was the former CEO of the New Jersey Utilities Association and a member of the board of Thomas Edison State University for 37 years as director of leadership.
Joseph Genovario, 93, on August 19. He owned College TV and Appliances in Hamilton for more than 70 years.
Dionisos Tsilimidos, 84, on August 18. He owned two auto body repair shops: Commercial Body Shop in Bordentown and Harney’s Corner in Lawrenceville.
Virginia Zulker, 86, on August 7. Together with her husband, Chuck, she founded the radio station WCHR in Trenton.
Leonard Baum, 86, on August 14. He worked for the Institute for Defense Analyses in Princeton, which was a Defense Department think tank that specialized in cryptography. His public scientific achievements included the Baum-Welch algorithm, which enabled the first effective speech recognition systems. He later applied mathematical modeling to financial markets, working with New York hedge fund manager Jim Simons.
Jason Ghaffoor, 28, on August 9. He worked for Amazon in Robbinsville as a procurement operation analyst.
