Jersey Forensic Consulting, which provides psychiatric expertise for lawyers, judges, and law enforcement personnel, has opened at 812 State Road.

The firm was founded by Vivian Schaidman, a clinical psychologist who has worked at Cooper University Hospital in Camden and has taught at UMD-NJ in Newark.

The practice centers on consultation for law enforcement and criminal justice administration. Schaidman, who earned her bachelor’s in psychology from Bryn Mawr College in 1984 and her M.D. from Sackler School of Medicine in Israel in 1988, helps police departments and law enforcement agencies with criminal profiling and threat assessment. She also advises in jury selection and helps train social and legal workers in psychology.
