The first Cupid’s Chase 5K took place in Princeton, NJ in 2009 with 350 runners. On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Community Options will celebrate its 10th annual Cupid’s Chase 5K with 37 races across 11 states and thousands of runners expected. Last year, Cupid’s Chase events raised nearly $300,000 and have raised more than $1 million in total. Fred Joslyn scored the best time across the country, finishing with a 15:28 mark in the Harrisburg, PA 2017 race.

New race locations for 2018 include Bridgewater, NJ; Queens, NY; Butler, PA; King of Prussia, PA; Latrobe, PA; Salt Lake City, UT and Wheaton, MD. Community Options began providing service to both Utah and Maryland over the last two years, and 2018 marks the first year for Cupid’s Chase races in both locations.

As they do every year, participants will receive an “Available” or “Unavailable” shirt to wear for the race in hopes of sparking a love connection – at least for the “Available” people! All runners will be awarded a finisher medal, get a goody bag and enjoy light refreshments. Runners, walkers, and rollers (baby strollers and wheelchairs) are all welcome to join in the fun and help raise funds to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

To register for the event, visit http://cupidschase.org – and if you register by December 31, 2017, you’ll beat the fee hike on January 1st! To sponsor one of the races, email us at cupidschase@comop.org.
