Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler! Yes, the good times did roll for about 200 guests on Saturday, February 28, at Greenacres Country Club in Lawrenceville, with entertainment provided by the Jambalaya Brass Band from New York City.
The good times also were good news for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties (CASA). This independent, non-profit organization has a mission to train and supervise community volunteers, appointed by the Family Court, to advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect. The organization’s volunteers strive to ensure the emotional, physical, and educational well-being of these children while they reside in foster homes or residential facilities.
The night’s honorary chair was Brenda Ross-Dulan, region president and executive vice-president of Wells Fargo, Southern New Jersey region. Lead sponsors were Wells Fargo and Diversityinc. Executive director of CASA is Lori Morris.
The event raised about $90,000 for CASA.
