Olivia Caruso, owner of Caruso Physical Therapy and Nutrition, LLC, in Allentown, is pleased to announce the addition of a dry salt therapy (Halotherapy) as an additional service.
Salt therapy is a natural therapy that has been practiced since the 18th century. It involves inhaling dry salt, which can help cleanse both the airways and the skin to relieve congestion, inflammation, and skin irritations. To build her “salt cave,” Caruso purchased her salt therapy equipment from SALT Chamber, LLC, of Boca Raton, Florida. SALT Chamber is one of the world’s leading authorities for educating, consulting, marketing, training, and distributing the best salt therapy products and services around the world.
Caruso’s salt cave will include Pink Himalayan Brick Decor and SALT Chamber’s Multi SALT FX Halogenerator, a special machine that circulates dry salt aerosol into the air. In microscopic form, the salt particles are almost undetectably absorbed and inhaled by clients as they doze and sleep. When the dry sodium chloride enters the body, its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties perform several healing maneuvers. Lung functions improve; nasal passages and lung tracts clear of toxins and pollutants; bronchial inflammation reduces; and later, clients may find their endurance has improved and their snoring has diminished.
The room will be approximately 120 square feet and have four chairs. Salt therapy sessions will last for 45 minutes and cost $35 per session. Any current physical therapy, nutrition, or pilates reformer patients will receive $5 off their salt therapy session. Series packages and memberships will also be available.
“We are incredibly excited to add salt therapy to our business,” said Caruso. “We look forward to seeing the benefits this non-invasive therapy has on managing the symptoms of conditions such as allergies, asthma, sinusitis, COPD, stress, anxiety, and fatigue. We encourage our existing patients and welcome new guests, to visit us and experience dry salt therapy. We are confident you will feel the results.”
