The New Jersey Communications, Advertising and Marketing Association (NJ CAMA) is seeking submissions for its annual ASTRA Awards this summer.

Any individual, company, or organization engaged in the creation of advertising, communications, and marketing is eligible to enter the contest. Industries involved include print, radio, television, and public relations.

There is no limit to the number of entries submitted. All entries must have been conceived and created within New Jersey or for companies in New Jersey. (Either the agency or organization marketed must be based in New Jersey). All entries must have appeared, aired or been published for the first time in the media between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.

Entries will not be returned. All submissions, with the exceptions of public service advertising and industry (advertising) self-promotion, must have been created and disseminated in the normal course of business, in which the advertiser has paid for the media placement.

“The ASTRA Awards are a showcase of the region’s top informative, persuasive, and inspiring marketing and communications work,” says CAMA President Larry Trink of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. “It’s also a fun night out where professionals from our field can get some well deserved recognition for their hard work.”

Awards winners will be given in all marketing and communications disciplines, from innovative designs and websites, to social media and outside-the-box marketing and public relations solutions.

Winners will be recognized at a ceremony and dinner event on Wednesday, July 11, at Jasna Polana in Princeton. Entries are due by Friday, June 8. The cost to enter is $60 for CAMA members and $90 for non members. Late entries will be accepted until June 15 with for an additional fee per entry.
