College of New Jersey is seeking entries for the 1999

Mercer County Photography Exhibition, to be held at the college

in November. Deadline for entry forms and photographs is October 10

to 17. Juror is Susan Fenton, artist, educator, and lecturer. For

Ellarslie, the Trenton City Museum is seeking entries

for all Mercer County high school students for its "Best of Mercer

County High Schools" exhibition, November 6 to January 2. Deadline

Princeton’s Taste of the Nation is seeking a gourmet accountant

and other volunteers to work on its next anti-hunger fundraiser, April

members to help plan and implement fundraisers, manage community projects,

and develop educational program to benefit children in Mercer, Middlesex,

and Bucks County. Membership is open to any woman over 21 committed

The Princeton Area Community Foundation and Princeton

University Class of 1942 are accepting nominations for the 1999 Bud

Vivian Community Service Award. It will be presented to a member of

the greater Princeton community who has demonstrated over many years

the qualities which Bud possessed and shared: the ability to identify

a need, fashion a plan, draw people into the process, and persevere

Preservation New Jersey invites nominations for its Year

2000 list of New Jersey’s Ten Most Endangered Historic Places. The

list calls attention to historic treasures, increases public awareness,

and focuses critical attention on selected properties to assist in

their preservation. To receive a nomination form by mail or fax, call

Medication Safety

Decisions on nutrients affect women of all ages and

women as caregivers, says Bonnie Arkus, founder of the Women’s

Heart Foundation. Her foundation’s Medication Safety Campaign this

fall includes a town meeting on Thursday, October 7, at 3:30 p.m.

at the New Jersey Hospital Association at 760 Alexander Road. Kristine

Olson (a nurse practitioner at the Capital Health System) and Robert

Kocsardy (president of the Mercer County Pharmaceutical Association)

will address specific questions on drugs, supplements, and herbals.

Geraldine Moon, voice president at the New Jersey Hospital Association,

will moderate the discussion.
