Mom deserves a special treat to celebrate all that she does for her family, and what place is more special to honor her than the Blooming Grove Inn. Located inside a Victorian mansion on West Upper Ferry Road in beautiful Ewing Township, Blooming Grove Inn offers the perfect way to celebrate Mothers’ Day on Sunday, May 13. Originally the main farm house on Blooming Grove Farm, the building was converted to a restaurant around the turn of the 20th century and called Blooming Grove Inn.
Owner Steve Jordan says, “Our Mothers’ Day event will offer seating from 1 until 7 p.m. Our full menu will be offered as well as specials such as Sauteed Chilean Sea Bass and Grilled Pork Tenderloin. Make your reservations early to be sure of a special day.”
The famous Blooming Grove Inn Bar is also celebrating spring with a new lineup of signature cocktails. “The property has been a place of hospitality for over a century,” says Jordan proudly. “We have a lovely outdoor dining area so, weather permitting, enjoy the elegance of dining al fresco.”
“Begin Mom’s special day with an English Garden made with Bombay gin, coconut water, hibiscus syrup, lime juice and a splash of club soda. Or if her taste runs to Mojitos, then ours will be sure to please. We make it with our homegrown spearmint.”
Jordan’s dedication to fine food is evident in the backyard garden that is feeling the full burst of spring right now. “We’ll have fresh tomatoes, zucchini and squash soon. And we always feature herbs that cannot get any fresher. Don’t forget, we have a wide variety of hot peppers, including the Carolina Reaper, rumored to be the hottest in the world.”
“We have a whole new spring/summer menu launching right after Mothers’ Day, a menu that will highlight the fresh ingredients we grow right here at the Inn. We’ll have several items of special interest. Our Caprese Burger will feature fresh mozzarella and fresh tomatoes. Or try our Grove Salad of mixed greens with provolone cheese, olives, roasted red peppers, and feta cheese, topped with grilled chicken, scallops, and shrimp with lightly fried Tuscan vegetables and balsamic vinaigrette. For a heartier entree, we will have Shrimp and Crab Pesto Linguine with diced tomatoes, tossed in a basil white wine sauce over linguine or Ribeye Frites which is an eight-ounce ribeye chargrilled and served with seasoned waffle fries and horseradish cream.”
Jordan says, “The Blooming Grove Inn regularly has events that show off the great menu items, drinks, and our welcoming hospitality. Come enjoy our Moscow Mule Mondays or our Tini Tuesdays.” Music at The Blooming Grove enlivens your dining experience. Weekends always offer the best local artists presenting great live music.
“In addition, we are already taking reservations for graduation parties. Our various rooms are perfect for any size party, from an intimate gathering to seating for 110 people using the entire house. Family parties or corporate events are one of a kind at The Blooming Grove Inn so book early,” advises Jordan.
Catering for off-site events is also available. A full array of food and beverages are available for receptions, parties, or events. The catering menu includes options to suit every budget.
Give Mom a treat and step into history with a cozy, fine dining experience at the historic Blooming Grove Inn.
