The Greater Mercer Transportation Management Association, a nonprofit agency located at 15 Roszel Road, is hosting two “Brake Fests” on Friday, June 20, at 7 a.m. on South Warren Street in Trenton and in Princeton next to Kopp’s Cycle Shop on Spring Street. The events are part of the TMA’s efforts to promote Bike To Work Day and encourage non-motorized ways of getting around.

“With gas prices escalating and nice weather approaching, now is the perfect time to consider bicycling to work,” says Sandra Brillhart, executive director of Greater Mercer TMA.

Snacks, beverages, and prizes for the events have been donated by Booster Juice, Cafe Ole, Classics Used & Rare Books, Gilmore’s Cafe, Jake’s On Nassau, Kopp’s Cycle, Panera Bread, Rainbowtown Restaurant, Starbucks Coffee, and Whole Earth Center.

The TMA has coordinated this year’s events with the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance and Trenton Cycling Revolution. The rain date is June 27. For more information call 609-452-1491 or visit www.gmtma.org.
