Personal care in the comfort of the office

A wide range of gastroenterology and endoscopy procedures are being safely and comfortably performed at Advanced Digestive Center, saving patients time, expense and worry.

Srinivas Vasireddi, M.D., FACP, a board-certified gastroenterologist, has assembled a team in his fully accredited office-based endoscopy center to offer patients the convenience, comfort and savings from being cared for at one location. His focus on safety extends throughout the practice; he uses only physician anesthetists, who complement his expertise and the credentials of his staff.

“Whatever can be done in a hospital can be done in our office,” Dr. Vasireddi said of the procedures he performs to handle digestive issues. “We’re one of the few sites in New Jersey that can offer this level of comprehensive care.”

Dr. Vasireddi has been practicing since 1998. He opened Advanced Digestive Center in Metuchen in 2003, followed by the Princeton location in 2006.

He treats a myriad of digestive issues, including intestinal and digestive system disorders, and gall bladder, liver and pancreas problems. Common ailments include reflux, gall stones, tumors and polyps which are identified by endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures and treated in the office.

“We use many new technologies so we can be less invasive,” Dr. Vasireddi explained. “We use a small bowel camera pill which patients ingest. This allows us to view what’s going on in the bowel without a scope. We can also do wireless pH monitoring and acid monitoring for things such as heartburn and reflux.”

In addition to sophisticated procedures, Advanced Digestive Center also offers simple tests to determine the causes of malabsorption, sugar intolerances such as lactose intolerance, gas problems and bacteria issues.

Dr. Vasireddi has impressive credentials which attract patients to Advanced Digestive Center. He earned his M.D. from Catholic Medical Center in New York, where he did his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Gastroenterology. He also attended medical school in Jimper, India, prior to coming to the United States. Dr. Vasireddi is on-staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, JFK Medical Center in Edison and Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. He’s been extensively published in journals, and is a much sought after speaker, routinely presenting at national and local conferences.

“My goal in opening Advanced Digestive Center is to bring the best possible care in a comfortable, safe and cost-effective manner,” Dr. Vasireddi said. “With two centers in central New Jersey, one in Metuchen, one in Princeton, great digestive care is close at hand.”
