the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. There are 40 mainstage performances,

120 classes and workshops, plus gatherings of the world’s premier

professional dancers, choreographers, instructors, and dance organizations.

On opening night, Saturday, June 19, a Merriam Theater concert features

performances by National Ballet of Canada, Dance Forum Taipei, Isaburoh

Hanayagi of Japan, Noche Flamenca of Spain, Samba Nosso of Brazil,

with Pennsylvania Ballet and Philadanco.

Companies hail from Africa, Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Anguilla,

France, Spain, United Kingdom, Mexico, Argentina, and Costa Rica,

and more. The hosts are 35 Philadelphia-based dance companies, working
