HomeFront seeks volunteers to prepare baskets and deliver them to Homefront on Tuesday to Thursday, November 13, 14, or 15, for distribution to needy families in time for Thanksgiving. Include a grocery store gift card for families to purchase a turkey, canned vegetables, fruit, cranberry mix, dry boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, fruit juice, and dessert items. Do not include perishable items. Additional items include tuna, beef stew, canned or evaporated milk, dry soup mix, hot and cold cereal, pasta, tomato sauce, rice, canned beans, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, and jelly. www.homefrontnj.org. Good Causes

Great Clips in Nassau Park, West Windsor, and Hamilton Marketplace, are hosting a cut-a-thon on Wednesday, October 24, to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The month-long promotion includes $1 donations from clients for a paper Miracle Balloon. The two salons, owned by Denise and Nick Schiera of West Windsor, will donate 25 percent of the sales from the two days.
