Though no one wants to get a call from an attorney seeking restitution on behalf of his client, businesses need to know how collections laws work and when to use them. The New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education will will host “The Nut and Bolts of NJ Collection Practice” on Wednesday, September 1, at 6 p.m. at the NJ Law Center in New Brunswick. The seminar is presented by Martha and Alan Ostrowitz, a Manalapan-based husband-and-wife legal team who specialize in collections for banks and other institutions. Cost: $150. Visit www.njicle.org.
Both Ostrowitzes also work as adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and received their bachelor’s degrees from New York University. Alan Ostrowitz earned his J.D. from Washington University, while Martha earned hers from Rutgers.
